Angulus for children

Angulus began its story in 1904 in a shoemaker’s workshop in Copenhagen’s Nørrebro district. All Angulus children’s shoes are designed at the brand’s headquarters in Herlev, Denmark, and produced at a factory in Portugal, where 130 dedicated shoemakers bring the beautiful designs to life. Angulus places a strong focus on sustainability and environmental responsibility. For example, the rubber used for the soles is sourced from European, CO2-absorbing trees, while the wool lining in the winter boots is made from OEKO-TEX-certified, vegetable-tanned lambswool. Angulus has always been known for making exceptionally high-quality shoes designed to last for many years, helping to reduce unnecessary consumption. Production offcuts are also recycled to minimise waste. In 2020, Angulus launched the new “Angulus Pinatex” vegan shoes, made from pineapple fibres. The brand is also taking part in a major project with the Danish Technological Institute investigating the potential of using glue made from mussels. Naturally, all Angulus shoe boxes are sustainable and FSC MIX certified.

Plenty of room for little feet

If you are buying your child’s first pair of Angulus shoes or boots, you may be wondering how Angulus children’s shoes fit. As all their styles are designed with a foot-shaped fit, they provide plenty of room for the toes. This is also easy to see when you hold up a pair of boots: the shape does not taper inwards, and the toe box becomes slightly wider, leaving plenty of space for your child’s toes. This means you can often choose one size smaller in Angulus than you would in other brands. We recommend allowing 1–1.5 centimetres of growing room, as less space may mean your child cannot wear the shoes for the entire season.

To measure your child’s foot and find the correct shoe size, we recommend the following method. Ask your child to stand with their back against a wall, making sure their heel is firmly against it. Place a book in front of their longest toe and ask them to step away. Then measure the distance from the wall to the book. This is a reliable way to measure your child’s foot while standing. Do not measure their foot while they are sitting down, as the result will differ when the foot is bearing weight.
