Children's slippers

For very young children who are not yet walking, it is a good idea to choose slippers that fit snugly around the foot, either with elasticated fastening or a secure Velcro closure. A very thin sole is best at this stage, as it makes it easier for your child to crawl around while wearing them. Here you'll find designs with both firm heel counters and less supportive fits. It is a good idea to find out what your child prefers to wear, otherwise they may simply keep taking them off. And when the slippers are not on their feet, they cannot keep them warm.

It keeps feet warm while allowing them to breathe, helping to prevent sweaty feet inside the slippers. Wool is not only a great material for winter; it can also be worn in summer, as it helps release excess heat and maintain a comfortable temperature for little feet. Both wool and leather mould to your child's foot and feel comfortable to wear. You'll find lovely styles from brands such as Bisgaard and Melton, which design slippers in leather and wool respectively. Whichever material you choose, the most important thing is that the slippers stay securely on your child's feet and provide the right amount of warmth. When little Alberte is approaching her second birthday, it is also important to choose slippers she can put on herself, as many nurseries expect children of this age to start becoming more independent.
