A jacket for every kind of weather

Winter jackets come out when the temperatures start to drop and frost begins to set in. Your child's winter jacket should ideally be windproof and water-repellent. Most winter jackets have a water column rating of 5,000 mm or more. The more time your child spends outside in snow, rain or wet weather, the higher the water column rating should be. Breathability is also an important factor when choosing a winter jacket for your child. We recommend choosing a winter jacket with a breathability rating of 2,000 g/m2 or more. If you have a very active child who loves running, jumping and playing outdoors, look for a jacket with high breathability. As winter gradually loosens its grip, it is time to replace the warm winter jacket with a lighter design. We have a large selection of transitional jackets, all with different features and benefits, so there are plenty of options to choose from. Softshell designs are wind-resistant and make excellent jackets for the Danish weather, where strong winds can often feel particularly cold. Teddy designs are made from soft teddy fabric that keeps your child warm and cosy. Padded jackets also retain heat well, while being lightly water-repellent and windproof. Rain jackets are usually completely waterproof, but they are rarely very breathable and do not provide much warmth. That is why it is a good idea to have one of the other jacket types available for your child when they are not going out in the rain. The type of transitional jacket you and your child prefer is entirely up to you, and your choice should largely reflect the needs the jacket is intended to meet.
